Voices in Football - Mission Statement
By Site Editor • Jan, 2008 • Site Category: Mission Statement
Voices
in Football originated in 2008 out of another now defunct yet very enjoyable
online blog site. Born out of the articles and views on this blog, the new idea
for VIF came about through a desire to have a more extensive webzine dedicated to Football Fan and Terrace
Culture around the world. The aim through this are for the site to
express itself through photos,
images, words, articles, views, opinions or poetry and thereby giving a
platform to
images or words that are sometimes seen in football as being alternative, controversial
and to stories that are perhaps rarely told or explored on other more well known
football sites.Unlike the blog site, this site seeks submissions
from football fans anywhere which may be of benefit to the website
content and its messages. These are welcome but will only be utilised at editorial
discretion depending on theme, content, originality or image quality.
Photos from football fans anywhere which express football in any
village, town, city or country from any perspective of football are
very welcome. Submissions of this type may be used within the image galleries or articles zones.Visitors to the
website are also very welcome to register for our monthly e-newsletter
'Fan Energy' which will contain exclusive images and articles
regarding the website. All
fans have a passion and comittment for a team but V.I.F aims to be
independent of any club, international or political affiliations. A variety of political strategies, cultural issues, social trends and economic scenarios and/or the impact on the game may be discussed in articles
within the site but only as a means of analysing the impact on supporters and the wider game and not through any political bias.
The aim ultimately is in expressing and analysing the extreme rivalry,
hatred and friendships that exist in football and to do this alongside
our key football ethos, strategy and site behaviours which are Fanaticism, Colour,
Passion and Originality (F.C. P.O). Most of the images shown are original and are copyright of Voices in Football 2009©
