Фудбалски клуб Обилић

Vitezovi (The Knights)

FK Obilic are synonomous with the Serbian Paramilitary leader Zeljko Raznatovic or 'Arkan' as he is otherwise known.  Despite a long history it was not until a distinct period during the mid to late 1990's that the most notable period of the club's history arrived.

During this period the club was owned and operated by Arkan who brought energy, fight and belief to the club and its fans.  Regularly photographed smiling with and fans, he attracted support from many of his followers who attached themselves to the club at the expense of other Belgrade teams.  His period at the helm of the club culminated in FK Obilic being titled League Champions.

Although famous for its ties with 'Arkan' the club is actually named after a legendary Serbian
medieval hero Milos Obilic whose image appears in the club badge.  Since the assassination of Arkan the fall of the club into the depths of Serbian Amatuer football has been staggering.   From challenging noted Belgrade clubs like Partizan and Red Star and participating in the qualification rounds of the Champions League, the club now currently competes in the Beogradska prva liga, the first division of Belgrade Amatuer league zone.
