More about www.voicesinfootball.com

Editorial
Voices in Football (V.I.F) was created and put together by the current editor Damon Main, a football fan who lives in Scotland.  He is a graduate of Aberdeen University and Strathclyde University Business School in Glasgow.  As well as V.I.F he has written and had a variety of articles and photographs published in a number of online and print publications; these include TFS Magazine the official magazine for the FSF. His main areas of interest are European Club Football, Football Stadia and Fan Culture in the UK and abroad.  Events he has attended include UEFA Euro 2004, Euro 2008, UEFA Cup final 2007, World Cup 2006 and the opening draw for 2012 in Warsaw.   When not visiting football grounds and watching football matches he currently lives in Scotland.  The editor has official UEFA events media accreditation through F.A.M.E.

In recent years the traditional football fan produced paper fanzine has been complemented by the emergence of the webzine or e-zine.  One of the main reasons behind this drive is that the web has the potential to reach an ever larger, possibly more global audience.  The traditional fanzine is more commonly sold outside the ground to a smaller readership.  Our aim at Voicesinfootball was to produce and develop a webzine offering an alternative look at football fan and terrace culture. However, the aim is to complement this by producing our own paper fanzine.  Please keep returning to the site to find out more soon.

Most clubs have one or sometimes more than one fanzine.  These publications often supplement club ideals on an unofficial basis but more commonly these oppose the  mainstream media or club's official stance through offering an alternative fan point of view on events.   Consequently, these fanzines and webzines operate in a different way to official club websites or matchday programmes which are traditionally more expensively produced by clubs.
